PowerSchool’s inaugural research on AI in education, conducted with YouGov, reveals a significant shift in the perception of AI within the GCC’s educational sector.
Educators Call for Advanced AI Integration
The survey of over 300 educators in the UAE and Saudi Arabia highlights strong support for adopting AI and advanced technology in schools. A remarkable 90% believe AI can enhance learning outcomes, improve personalisation, and reduce administrative workloads.

- Teachers highlighted AI’s ability to automate repetitive tasks, such as homework assignments (51%), attendance tracking (49%), and reminders (49%).
- 56% estimated AI-driven assessments alone could save 10–15 hours weekly, allowing more time for student-focused activities.
Regional Trends:
- 95% of Saudi educators supported introducing AI from early education, compared to 79% in the UAE.
- AI’s positive impact was recognised by 93% of Saudi respondents versus 66% in the UAE.
Professional Development:
- 88% stressed the importance of training to keep pace with AI advancements.
- 73% believed institutions could expand AI adoption with proper investments.
